GPS Lap Timing application is delivered as a compressed package in ZIP format. The package is composed by three files:
- GPSLapTiming.jar the application itself
- GPSLapTiming.jad application description
- EULA.txt final user license
Mobile phones that have java support use .jad file to gather all installation details for .jar files (the application itself including files and data).
The setup of GPS Lap Timing in the terminal is performed by transferring .jad file to the mobile phone which will automatically install the application. Transfer can be performed by any medium available in your mobile phone: USB cable, by infrared transfer, by Bluetooth, etc. To accomplish this task you will need the software available for your terminal. Most manufacturers provide a CD-ROM with this software together with their mobile phones. Nokia terminals, for example, are sold with a software called PC Suite. Learn from your mobile phone user’s guide in application setup section the usage of provided transfer software.
Once the application is installed in your mobile phone you will be able to run it by selecting GPS Lap Timing from your terminal application menu. |
